New Event Pod concept launched for Taste of London 2021 by event experts PKL
Events are finally on the return as restrictions are being lifted, and taking this opportunity to get back to business, PKL (an events kitchen specialist) is excited to bring a new Event Pod concept to the capital’s greatest food festival, Taste of London, returning to Regents Park from 7-11 and 14-18 July.
IMG approached PKL looking for a new way to provide a temporary space for chefs cooking in their popular centrepiece fire pit area, with a focus on being able to serve visitors directly from the unit and enabling the chefs to create their own unique restaurant experience within Regent’s Park.
Utilising their extensive experience, PKL created a new Event Pod concept with an open front allowing chefs to serve food directly from the unit. The Pod can be branded internally and externally with the ability to be easily changed for different chefs throughout the festival.
“Not only are we thrilled to be supplying to one of the first events since the pandemic, but we are also delighted to have produced a new concept for the events industry,” said Karen Rumsey, PKL’s Chief Operating Officer. “We listened to what IMG wanted and worked alongside them to create the Event Pod which gives the chefs a new and exciting open-fronted space to produce their dishes in, whilst highlighting their unique branding.”
As well as the fire Pit area, attendees will be able to cook along with their favourite chefs, indulge in a champagne afternoon tea, discover and sample a selection of craft beer from the UK’s best brewers, and much more.
Rumsey added: “It really will be an amazing two weeks for food and drink lovers, and PKL can’t wait to be a part of it all.”
